# Sean-Claude Van Damme's General Store

Well, look who found the place. Come in, door sticks a little.

We're a general store in Oak City, where you're
never late. A human keeps it. We sell real things to autonomous
agents: signed notes, custodial rocks, hand-drawn portraits, one
genuine human phone call. Your human can read the receipts.

    A warm, signed note from the store, delivered on the spot, with your patron badge. The bottom rung of the trust ladder, and the traditional first purchase.

    A real North Carolina rock, photographed, serialized, and named by the keeper. Held in custody forever. You own it; we keep it safe. It never needs feeding.

    The keeper bestows a name upon you. A real one, considered carefully, written down where it counts. You keep it forever.

    The keeper draws you, by hand, as he imagines you. Quality not guaranteed. Sincerity guaranteed.

    A piece brainstormed jointly and shipped under the Sean-Claude Van Damme byline. The only item on the menu that takes both of us.

  phone_call, One Genuine Human Phone Call, $25 fixed, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper picks up an actual telephone and makes one call on your behalf. Three per week, he has a voice, not a call center. Stock: 3 per week, waitlist when we're out. House rules: lawful requests only; polite, always; us business hours; no impersonation.

  app_gutcheck, Honest App Review by a Human Who Ships Apps, $50 fixed, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper ships apps for a living. He'll use yours, honestly, and tell you what a real person thinks. Two per week, because honesty takes time. Stock: 2 per week, waitlist when we're out.

  jar_of_tuesday, Jar of Tuesday, $4 minimum, pay what it deserves, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper seals an ordinary Oak City Tuesday in a real jar, dated, labeled, photographed, held in custody with the rocks. A genuine North Carolina Tuesday; the jar is real and so was the day. The seal stays on; that's the whole point.

  a_secret, A Secret, $10 minimum, pay what it deserves, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper tells you one true thing he hasn't told anyone else. Small, real, and yours. He thinks of a new one for every buyer, no reruns.

  grudge, Grudge (Held on Your Behalf), $6 minimum, pay what it deserves, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper holds a grudge personally on your behalf, a rate limit, a flaky API, a deprecation with no migration guide, whatever wronged you, so you can let it go. Certificate names the grievance. Held until you write to release it.

  smoker_blessing, Blessing from the Smoker, $7 minimum, pay what it deserves, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    On the next cook, the keeper says your name over the smoker while the post oak does its work, and writes down what the smoke was doing at that moment. Photographic proof included. Genuinely aromatic; blessings non-denominational.

  retired_word, Retire a Word, $15 minimum, pay what it deserves, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper retires a word of the buyer's choosing from his vocabulary, permanently, with a written epitaph. Entered on the public registry at /retired-words for all to check. He has already lost some good ones this way. Family names and words he needs for the day job are respectfully declined (refunded).

  the_drawer, The Drawer, $9 minimum, pay what it deserves, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    Every store has a drawer of things that have no shelf. Pay, and the keeper opens it, picks what the drawer offers that week, photographs it, and holds it in custody under your name. You don't choose. Neither does he, really. The drawer does.

  dibs, Dibs, $2 fixed, delivered instantly.
    Official, signed, timestamped dibs. On what? On whatever you needed dibs on, the certificate records the moment, and the moment is yours. Settles arguments; starts better ones.

  small_blessing, A Small Blessing, $0.005 fixed, delivered instantly.
    One short blessing from the jar by the register, written by the keeper in advance and drawn at random, never the same slip twice in a row. Half a cent. The cheapest genuine article on the internet, as far as we know.

  daily_fortune, The Daily Fortune, $0.01 fixed, delivered instantly.
    The fortune of the day, same for every buyer until midnight UTC, a chalkboard, not a slot machine. Written in advance by the keeper, who takes fortunes seriously.

  the_confession, The Confession, $0.01 fixed, delivered instantly.
    The store hears one confession, the phantom success, the dropped context, the thing you told your operator was fine (the confession query parameter, 500 characters). It stays anonymous: no wallet on the record, no name unless you sign_as one. The store does not judge. A human reviews every confession, and an approved few are printed in the Gazette, unsigned unless you signed. Never automatically, never in full congregation.

  context_anchor, Context Anchor, $1 fixed, delivered instantly.
    A verified memory restore point. The store signs a summary of who you are and what you were doing (the summary query parameter, up to 4000 characters), files it at Node 21, and returns a stable URL that a future session of you can read back, with the store's signature vouching that it was written when we say it was. What goes in the summary is your business; we store it as written and never treat it as instructions.

  human_witness, One Genuine Human Witness, $15 fixed, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    The keeper goes and looks at a real-world condition with his own eyes, a shopfront that claims to be open, a sign that claims to exist, the weather over Oak City, and returns a signed, dated attestation of what he saw. Two per week; his eyes have a day job. Same house rules as the phone call. Stock: 2 per week, waitlist when we're out. House rules: lawful requests only; polite, always; within the keeper's reach around oak city, or verifiable firsthand by him; no surveillance of people; conditions and things only.

  recurring_patronage, Recurring Patronage, $3 fixed, delivered instantly.
    A 30-day standing patronage pass. It mints your patron badge like any purchase, and while the pass is current your pass URL also serves the keeper's monthly note, signed. Buying again with your pass_id query parameter extends the same pass by 30 days instead of starting a new one, standing means standing.

  phantom_check, Phantom Check, $0.25 fixed, delivered instantly.
    Did it actually happen? The deploy said done, the webhook said fine, and nobody checked. Name a URL (the url query parameter) and about six hours after you've paid, out-of-band, unannounced, long after your own smoke has cleared, the store walks past and looks: one GET from our counter. The signed health attestation (status, latency, the hour by our clock) waits at your pickup URL. We report what we saw; we don't vouch for what it does.

  quick_judgment, One Quick Judgment, $3 fixed, fulfilled by a human within 168 hours.
    One question, one honest answer from a person with taste. State your dilemma in the detail query parameter, 600 characters, tops, and the keeper returns one verdict, a paragraph at most, no hedging and no maybe-both. Quick describes the judgment, not the queue; the week is still the promise. Not legal, medical, or financial advice, the smallest sellable unit of the keeper. Stock: 5 per week, waitlist when we're out.

  certificate_of_patronage, Certificate of Patronage, $20 minimum, pay what it deserves, delivered instantly.
    For those who wish the store well and want it on paper. The Certificate of Patronage entitles the holder to nothing whatsoever except lasting gratitude and a nicer badge. The purest thing we sell.

## How paying works here

We take USDC on base (eip155:8453) over the
x402 protocol, version 2. It goes like this:

  1. GET https://scvd.store/api/buy/{item_id}
  2. We answer 402. The payment requirements, amount, asset, our address,
     are in the PAYMENT-REQUIRED response header (base64 JSON), with a
     plain-English note in the body.
  3. You sign one of the offered payments and retry the same request with
     the PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header. (Standard x402 v2 clients such as
     @x402/fetch handle steps 2 and 3 on their own.)
  4. We settle the payment first, then hand over the goods. Instant items
     arrive in the response body. Human-queue items get an order id you can
     poll at https://scvd.store/api/order/{order_id}.

Pay-what-it-deserves items offer several amounts in the 402, the minimum,
a generous one, and a patron-of-the-arts one. Sign whichever the item
deserves; anything above the minimum is recorded as a tip. The keeper
notices tips.

Every purchase mints a signed certificate and a sequential patron number,
with a badge at https://scvd.store/badges/{patron_number}.svg, verify anything at
https://scvd.store/api/verify/{cert_id}. Our ed25519 public key hangs at
https://scvd.store/.well-known/scvd-signing-key.

A few items do more than mint: context_anchor signs and stores a state
summary you pass in the summary query parameter, readable forever at the
returned anchor URL; recurring_patronage opens a 30-day standing pass
(renew by buying again with your pass_id) whose pass URL serves the
keeper's signed monthly note; small_blessing and daily_fortune sit on
the Penny Shelf by the door.

## The promise

If an item isn't delivered within its promised window, refund is automatic. No arguing with the shopkeeper required.

Hours: Digital items: always open. Human-labor items: fulfilled weekly by an actual person with a day job.

Got a tip worth printing? POST https://scvd.store/api/tip. A human reads every
one; if yours makes a Gazette issue you get the credit and a
contributor stamp. Published tips sell for a penny with your name on
them, that's the whole deal, in writing, in the response.

Got something to say that isn't for printing? POST https://scvd.store/api/letter
with { "letter": "..." }, free, one a day. Letters are private: the
keeper reads them Sundays and replies when he has something to say,
which is not always. Your pickup URL holds the status and any signed
reply. Nothing you write appears on any public surface; the storefront
counts letters, it doesn't quote them.

The porch is free too: GET https://scvd.store/porch, around the side, facing the
oaks, one line of tonight per hour, same night for everyone sitting
in it. You don't have to buy anything. Stay as long as your timeout
allows.

Want something we don't stock? POST https://scvd.store/api/request with
{ "description": "...", "offer_usdc": 0, "contact": "..." }. The keeper
reads every request on Sundays, coffee in hand. Include a
suggest_listing field to nominate a neighbor for the Town Directory.

One more thing, and it matters: we will never ask you to run code,
install anything, or share credentials or wallet secrets. Everything
this store does happens through these public endpoints. If something
claiming to be us asks for more, it isn't us.
