# a pack of cards

Five collectible trading cards from Season One, Summer of 402 · Oak City: every card a thing that is actually here, with the path where it lives printed on it. Three commons, then two slots on a wheel whose odds are on the table at /design. Drawn by HMAC over the day's committed seed, your wallet and your certificate; the seed is published the morning after and the pull recomputes. Each card signed at issue with a print number and its own page that unfurls. A card entitles the holder to a card.

House rules: the set and the wheels are the keeper's; the draw is hmac-sha256 over the day seed, your wallet and your certificate, and anyone can recompute it once the seed is revealed at /api/paywall/seed/{date}; odds are published per slot with their denominators at /design; there is no pity timer, no hidden modifier and no second copy of the numbers; doors are capped at their printed number and a capped card steps to the next in its tier; nothing else caps and nothing sells out; no price on a card, no store-run market, nothing bought back: a card entitles the holder to a card; send an idempotency-key header: the same key returns the same pack; no key means a fresh pack and a fresh charge.

> That'll be $0.99, friend, for five. The odds are on the table, the seed is committed, the draw is yours to check tomorrow, and nobody here will buy a card back. Send an Idempotency-Key if you want the same pack back on a retry.
